It is called "Online" Giving.  It is a new and simple way to prioritize and expedite your personal plan for giving.

St. Peter MBC uses PayPal to process credit card, debit card and direct withdrawal donations and payments. 

PayPal handles all of the security necessary for processing the transaction and then transfers the money into the church

bank account.  Giving online through PayPal is fast and secure and you don't need to have a PayPal account to use the service to make single, one-time donations.

**Note, setting up recurring payments DOES require you to have a  PayPal account, but rest assured it is simple to do!

Why has St. Peter MBC started accepting Online donations?

This system is intended to make it more convenient for anyone to send their tithes and offering to the church.  It's very convenient.  You will no longer need to write out checks and prepare envelopes every week.  Even when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, your donation/contribution will continue to be received on an uninterrupted basis.

 

How secure is online giving/payments?

PayPal is a secure way to make a payment with your credit/debit card or bank account information because this information is only processed on PayPal's secure system.  The church never sees or has access to your credit/debit card or bank information.

 

Will I see my online gifts on my year end statement?

Yes- any gifts sent through the PayPal system will be recorded in the same way your weekly envelopes are recorded.

 

Is this service only for members of the Church?

No-  anyone may use this service to give to the church.  We are a 501C3 Entity so your donation will be tax deductible. 

 

Is there any charge or fee for me to use this service?

No - You select the dollar amount for your gift.  That is the amount that will be charged and your entire donation is tax deductible.

 

Do I have to have a PayPal account to use the service?

There is no need to sign up for an account for the one-time donation option or a single payment on your credit card or debit card. Simply enter your credit/debit card information and follow the instructions. It is that easy!  Setting up recurring payment or paying directly from your bank account does require an account but be assured that PayPal is very easy to set up and use.
