Pastor Oscar Elim has served as Senior Pastor for St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church (spmbc) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin since its inception in June 2003. Before coming back to Christ and following Him I full-time ministry. Pastor Elim lived in Michigan and move to Wisconsin in 1981 after he was laid off from his job as a supervisor. He preaches with a passion that is compelling, a transparency that is easy to relate to, and a depth of understanding that is deep and yet elementary. He effectively communicates to all ages, because he connects the messages to everyday life.
Pastor Elim was ordained in the ministry by the Free Spirit Missionary Baptist Church in 1994 under Pastor Kenneth Bonner who saw the calling on his life before he did. He has dedicated his life to serving God and has been serving in full-time ministry since founding St. Peter MBC in 2003.
Married to Gloria, they will celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary on July 25, 2013. They have a daughter, Mamie (Detroit) and son, Eric.
Pastor Elim's true passion is helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, especially those who have drifted from faith. His motto is "Each One Reach One".

Individual accomplishment - Corporal in the U.S. Army, a sharp shooter (almost broke the Army shooting record during his service from 1964-1966, but when was told he was on the verge of breaking the record, became nervous and missed the mark), and served as Secretary of the Wisconsin Baptist Pastors Conference for three years. and loved attending the Naional General Baptist and American Baptist Conferences.
Favorite pastime as a young adult - was being a Dee-Jay (DJ).
